Lochalsh Part II

The weather 'turned'. Like all good girl guides we were well prepared - some more than others!

After a long walk and a short, sharp climb to the summit of Torr Beag,
lunch - much needed refreshment before an ungainly descent!

Have you ever seen such a big crack?...in a mountain!
It's called Waterpipe Gulley in Sgurr an Fheadain. It was not successfully climbed until 1895.

If you think they looked small in previous blogs, just look at them now!

" Shame I've lost the map."

So it's goodbye from us.
After eight weeks you can see we are all still close and talking - again, some more than others.

We are now in a delightful cottage in Letters near Ullapool, overlooking Loch Broom.
Just wishing for some decent weather.

  1. You've certainly all had a marvellous time in Scotland. I have loved seeing the brilliant pics. Looking forward to hearing even more about it when you get home Janice and Carol. Love Barbara (Small) xxxxx

  2. --- looks like Barb's attempt to tickle the trout from the bank was unsuccessful---you aren't supposed to get into the river and frighten them to death - that's cheating !!
